Dave Wardlaw <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #1 from Dave Wardlaw <[email protected]> --- I have tried to replicate this issue on the following configurations: O/S: OS X El Capitan and Windows 10 Open Office: version 4.1.2 I was unable to replicate the issue and below are the steps I undertook on both the Windows and Mac operating systems: Scenario 1 1) Create a document in Open Office 2) Save the file as word 97 3) Close the document 4) Restart the machine 5) Try and reopen the document using the open option on the splash screen when you first open OO Outcome: Document was opened successfully Scenario 2 1) Create a document in Open Office 2) Save the file as word 97 3) Leave the file open 4) Restart the machine 5) Try and reopen the document using the open option on the splash screen when you first open OO Outcome: Document was opened successfully Scenario 3 1) Create a document in Open Office 2) Save the file as word 97 3) update the document but don't save these updates 4) Turn off the machine by pressing the power button 5) Try and reopen the document using the open option on the splash screen when you first open OO Outcome: Document was opened successfully The document I created just contained a short line of text and is attached. It could be that the issue is related to a random reboot of the machine and not a planned one or one that was initiated by the user. It would be useful if the reason for the reboot was added to the bug to aid with replication as well as a sample document on which the error occurs. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue.
