Environments tested: Intel Core i5-3230M/8Gb/128GbSSD/GeForce740m - Windows 7 64bit, Windows 10 64bit, Ubuntu 14.04.4 LTS Mac Mini Late 2014 Intel Core i5-1.4Ghz/4Gb/500Gb HDD/Intel HD5000 - Mac OS X 10.11.4 AOO Versions 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 Preconditions: Files created with MS Office 2003, LibreOffice 5.1.1.3, AOO 4.1.2 in MS Word 97-2003 format were used for testing purposes. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a MS Word file using MS Word, LibreOffice Writer and AOO Writer. 2. Save the file using MS Word 97-2003 format. 3. Open the file using AOO Writer. Expected results: AOO Writer won’t open a file in MS Word 97-2003 format. Actual results: AOO Writer opens MS Word 97-2003 format file without any issues. Comments: I was unable to replicate the issue using all those environments and files. Impossible to perform any further investigation without the initial reporter’s file which caused the issue. Attachment above this comment is the Word 97-2003 file I was testing with, It was created in MS Word 2003.
