Note that registration is no longer required since movement to Apache OpenOffice. Is there some inhibition against upgrading to the latest release, Apache OpenOffice 4.1.2? (Or perhaps registration is a confusing wording. What I mean is that no registration information is communicated to or collected by the Apache OpenOffice project. "Registering" user profile information allows it to be included in fields and properties of documents being created, but it applies to the local computer account.)
