Open a new Writer document. 2. Type: "Golec M.A. is " Captured Result: "Golec M.A. Is " Expected: "is" was expected not to change into the "Is". Note: Issue was reproduced more than once. In other languages (Like Polish, English, ...). Other initials and words after - as well (Alike "Golec S.G. has" and "has" changed into "Has"). The abbreviations list (under tools -> Autocorrect -> Autocorrect options) - works as expected. Checked with 2 abbreviations - one existed in the system and one freshly added.
