I've tried replicating this bug, with the little information that was available
and I was able to reach the following conclusion: This is no longer an actual
bug, but rather a design flaw of the current DocsToGo iOS app.

Problem description:
Files saved with the .doc format by Open Office Writer will not open in the
DocsToGo mobile app because they are viewed as corrupted.

*Configuration:
- Operating System: Windows 7 Professional x64
- OpenOffice Writer version 3.4.1
- iPhone 5, iOS version 9.3.3
- DocsToGo version 5.3.3 (for iOS app)
- Asus ZenPhone 2, Android version 5.0.1\
- DocsToGo version 4.002 (for Android app)

*Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new OpenDocument text document.
2. Save the document using the Microsoft Word 95 (.doc) format.
3. Upload the document on an iPhone 5, by any means available.
4. Open the document on the iPhone with the DocsToGo mobile app.

Expected result: the document opens and is available for editing.

Actual result: the document is not opened and the following error message is
displayed: "Invalid format: This file is in an unsupported format."

*Follow-up tests:
I've uploaded the same file on an Android mobile device, and opened it with the
Android version of the DocsToGo app. The file was not opened and the following
error message was displayed: "This file cannot be opened because it is an MS
Word 95 file."

>From this I deduced that this format is not intended to be supported by the
developers of the app.

Furthermore, I created a new file by using Open Office, but this time saved it
it with the Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP (.doc) format. This file was successfully
opened by both the iOS and Android versions of the DocsToGo app.

*Conclusion:
At the current time it is rather difficult (if not impossible) as well as no
longer relevant to get the 2012 version of the DocsToGo app, to test if the
original bug report was referring to an actual file corruption issue, or just
the behavior explained above.
Seeing how the Android error message suggests that the 95 .doc format is no
longer supported, and the 97+ .doc format works just fine, we can assume that
there is no issue with the Open Office writer app regarding the documents saved
as .doc.
