--- Comment #2 from Raluca Popa <[email protected]> ---
Configuration information:
Win 7 Ultimate, 64-bit OS
Win 10 Pro, 64-bit OS

Specific description of steps:
1. Install a 3.x version of Apache Open Office.
2. Customize toolbar (eg: Standard, Formatting toolbar) - check / uncheck icons
that are to be displayed or hidden, configure their order within toolbar
3. Upgrade Apache Open Office to a 4.x version.

Specific description of failure:
Settings made on Standard and Formatting toolbars (check / uncheck icons that
are to be displayed or hidden, configure their order within toolbar) are reset
after upgrade.

Screenshots with before and after upgrade:
Before: http://screencast.com/t/9rlFvYn6
After: http://screencast.com/t/OGHRWk54Xf1g

Expected result:
Among with the other user profile specific settings, toolbar settings to be
also persistent after upgrade, since they have as result changes in
registrymodifications.xcu. This makes me think that even those kind of changes
are part of user profile that should be persistent after upgrade.

Observations worth sharing:
* When upgrading I have always used ‘typical setup’ type, never ‘custom setup’.
* There could be other settings among toolbars settings that can be lost after
upgrading. Settings * I customized and persisted after upgrade: Open Office >
User Data > First and Last Name, Open Office Writer > View > Ruler, Open Office
Writer > Basic Fonts.
* Since paths of app data changed (AOO 3.x have registrymodifications.xcu in
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\OpenOffice.org\3\user while AOO 4.x in
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\OpenOffice\4\user), multiple lines are
different when the file is copied. I attached xml files with before and after
upgrade from the mentioned paths.
