Adina Moldovan <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #2 from Adina Moldovan <[email protected]> --- Hi, I did some research to understand how spread is the pdf copy-paste in 2016 among the most popular applications word processor applications. Therefore, I searched on the internet for the top 10 most popular for Mac OS X. I installed on my OS X version 10.11.6 the ones that were free or had a demo version. Most of them accept PDF as a vector clipboard format. The exception is note-taking applications like Evernote or Simplenote, or the online application Google Docs. For an overview, see below. The below accept PDF as a vector clipboard format: * Pages * Scrivener * Ulysses * Storyist * Word (tried by the initial reporter) Mellel, Nissus and InDesign, the examples from the initial reporter are not among the top 10 statistics I found, but they accept PDF as a vector clipboard format also. The below don’t accept PDF as a vector clipboard format * Open Office, Libre Office * Note taking applications: Simplenote, Evernote * Online office suite: Google Docs So, it looks that most of the Word processing OS X applications have incorporated this feature. At the same time it’s hard to say how many people use it, and in the OOo database there are no other similar requests besides the current one.
