books are displayed in wrong way

Why (in any Version I used since four or five years) is the visualising of
books always wrong? If the scale makes it possible to show right side + left
side and no longer only side above side, then always odd numbers (pages 1, 3,
5...) are on the left side. However, they really are on the right side of any
book.
It is not easy to handle that, if it is important to work with the layout of
left and right sides of a book.
Maybe it's not easy to fix, but let me ask: Wasn't it possible to program:
IF the document is pre-adjusted with left + right sides
and
IF the scaling shows left side beside right side
THEN odd numbers are beginning on right side.
(See attachment: screenshot to show what I mean. Odd number of page is on left
side, even number is on right side. In opposite to what a book really is.)
