Issue ID: 127273
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Open Office Draw Crashes when trying to open a file
Product: Draw
Version: 4.1.3
Hardware: PC
OS: Windows Vista
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: Major
Priority: P5 (lowest)
Component: editing
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
I have used Open Office Draw to create a newsletter for a non-profit
organization for over 2 years. Suddenly, when I try to open a file I created in
the past, it crashes and tells me it will recover the file, but it never does.
I have removed the program from my PC, instslled the latest version and it
still does it. I have erased the registrymodifications.xcu file to no avail. I
have done this process three times and it still fails to open my files. I have
backups of all the created files on two other drives and I get the same result
with them.
It appears there is a file that is corrupted that is not removed during an
uninstall. I need to know how to resolve this. One would think that an
uninstall should clean the PC of all traces of the program. I really need to
get my newsletter out, so I would appreciate any help I can get.
