OpenOffice 4.11.1975 has been running correctly for a couple of years on this
PC. Today when I tried to start it, a MS error box appears with the message
"soffice.bin has encountered a problem......." The report shows "In Page
Error" (two pages) and shows two files as having problems, ie soffice.bin.mdmp
and appcompat.txt. "Search" cannot find either (incl hidden files). One
suggestion on the forums is to look for soffice process via Ctrl-Shift-Esc.
There are none as far as I can see. I have since removed 4.11.1975 and
installed 4.1.3. Result is the same. I have rebooted and updated Avast.
Neither make any difference. I have seen similar reports in the forums about
very old versions but not recent editions. CCleaner did run this morning
before the problem began but I have used it regularly before without any
trouble. OpenOffice 4.1.3 was installed after running CCleaner.
"Component description" above is not correct but you need something so I have
chosen the last one on your list. Problem is that OpenOffice will not start.
