Alphabetical index with different layout for top level and sublevel

I would like to propose the following formatting enhancement to Alphabetical
Indexes:

In the "Insert Index/Table > Entries" dialogue: Currently the user only has the
option of either, (1) all levels "set out" with a new line for each entry OR
(2) all levels "run on" – by ticking the "key separated by commas" option.
However, in real-life indexes, it is common to have the top level keywords
layed out with a new line for each entry, while the sublevel entries may (if
desired) be "run on", with entries separated by semicolons.

So my suggestion is to implement this as a new feature. Allow the user to
independently set the layout for EACH level to either "set out" or "run on".

This is illustrated with a real-life example in fig. 2: The first level entries
are SET OUT with a new line for each entry. But the second level entries are
"run on"
