Oo file demonstrating how an Index entry can interfere with the "Find &
Replace" function
If you add an Alphabetical Index entry, but modify the "Entry" field in the
"Insert Index Entry" dialog so that it is different to the selected text,a thin
grey rectangle is added to the beginning of the selection. However, this grey
rectangle interferes with the "Find & Replace" function.
Open the attached file. Use the "Find and Replace" dialog to look for the
phrase "William Petty" (in the first line of the text). It cannot be found. Now
look for "William" or "Petty" as separate words. These CAN be found.
In other words, the program cannot recognise any phrase which includes a grey
rectangle. This complicates indexing especially when there are many grey
rectangles" in the text.
