examples of cell border thickness in .xls

In OO 4.1.3 Calc / speqadsheet :

When setting the thickness of cell border lines to the following values:

0.5pt (single line) > [xls re-opened 1.00pt single line]
5.0pt (single line) > [xls re-opened 4.00pt single line]
1.1pt (double line) > [xls re-opened 3.00pt double line]
2.6pt (double line) > [xls re-opened 3.00pt double line]
7.5pt (double line) > [xls re-opened 3.00pt double line]
3.55pt (shadow line) > [xls re-opened 3.00pt double line]
5.05pt (shadow line) > [xls re-opened 3.00pt double line]
6.55pt (shadow line) > [xls re-opened 3.00pt double line]
6.0pt (shadow line) > [xls re-opened 3.00pt double line]
4.5pt (shadow line) > [xls re-opened 3.00pt double line]
9.0pt (shadow line) > [xls re-opened 3.00pt double line]
9.0pt (shadow line 2nd option) > [xls re-opened 3.00pt double line]

and saving as .xls file (choosing file format "Microsoft Excel 97/2000/XP
(.xls)"), the thickness settings are not saved, and appear with the values
given in []-brackets when re-opened.

When saving as .ods (choosing file format "ODF Spreadsheet (.ods)"), the
borderline thicknesses are all saved.

Best,

Thomas
