How I replicated the issue 1. Installed a fresh copy of Open Office. 2. Installed Garamond MT in Regular, Italic, Bold and Bold Italic. 3. Typed out lorem ipsum using the four font styles (bold, italic, bold-italic, regular). Some additional nuggets of info about my setup is that I only have the default system fonts installed on my Mac.
