I'm typesetting a book written in chines and the source file is a .docx.
1) open .docx with OO 4.1.5.
2) Notice that many "不" characters are missing (not all). (See attached .docx
and images, you can search for the chinese text in the images to find the
locations were the "不" character is missing.
It's not all cases. It seems to be caused when "不" is followed by punctuation
(comma, exclamation point, question mark,...). I've also seen cases where "不"
was at a word-wrap point.
Workaround: save the docx into an ods then use the word count feature to go
through each chapter and find how many "不" are missing and go fix them by hand.
To reproduce withe the attached document, follows step 1, search for
"毕竟在湾区干过几份非常好的高科技工作。" and notice the "不" are missing and the line is broken
(new line added) and there are lonely exclamation points missing their "不".
