I was initially using the Edge browser which does not run JAVA. Later, finding JAVA was not being used, I deleted JAVA. Still later I tried "Check for Updates" using Firefox. The error this time was probably because I had deleted JAVA. A change to "Check for Updates" that does not require JAVA to be running would fix this problem for many users, especially considering the news that JAVA may be going away because of security issurs. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue.
