This warning appears because the "Redlines" i.e. the recorded changes, when selected, are first copied into a "clipboard document" and then removed. Removing them consists of deleting and joining text nodes, and this calls the method SwContent::JoinMetadatables that issues the above warning. This happens in the moment we select them, before we press the DEL key as the OP suggests. I am still trying to understand if this is related with the bug, though. On one hand, it should, because the bug is about some kind of ID's.
