rabbah commented on issue #2788: docker for mac or CoreOS does not have runc and causes invoker errors URL: https://github.com/apache/incubator-openwhisk/issues/2788#issuecomment-331043913 Some history of note on upgrading docker: from 1.9 we skipped 1.10 and 1.11 - under load testing we consistently found the daemon would lock up, or end up causing kernel panics. These were traced to synchronization bugs in docker. We picked up the fixed in 1.12.
