Sorry, I'm just getting back to this. 

So the problem is that the Hadoop codec doesn't properly reset() and needs to 
be removed from the pool?

Is it the DirectDecompressor? Snappy? Zlib?

I assume the AirCompressorCodecs aren't broken.
