I switched to the [ORC-1 ](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ORC-1) version that introduced `ConvertTreeReaderFactory` to test, and reading will also have this problem. The decimal schema evolution was introduced in [HIVE-13648](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-13648). I first set the affected version in JIRA.
