[~linyiqun] there has been some back and forth with regards to the approach (a
new table for this feature or not). HDDS-4307 has some of the more recent
discussion if you are curious. [~cxorm] has a more detailed design doc that
will be shared soon, with the hope we can review in an upcoming community call
so we can continue forward.
