Apologies for the late review. FYI, there is an alternative the design in Cross-region bucket replication (https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDDS-12307) design docs (see "Phase 2: Near Real-time Live Replication"). The idea is to expose a subscribe endpoint in OM that will allow the client to do gRPC bidirectional streaming for all the updates. OM need to create a new log tailer for every subscription and send the updates to the client. This subscribed client can then store the events to its own persistent queue or send it to Kafka / RabbitMQ. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
