Thanks for all the valuable feedback. I agree that while this is a mitigation rather than a strict fix for the race condition, increasing the buffer makes it much more robust for practical use cases. Updates in the latest commit: I changed the default ozone.scm.container.space.requirement.multiplier from 2.0 to 5.0 as suggested, to provide a safer buffer for concurrent allocations.
