The fix cause slight performance degradation in 1-2 concurrent threads writing
files and improve performance only when there are 7+ concurrent writers. Since
there are no significant performance gain in highly concurrent writers scenario
and slight performance degradation in low concurrency cases, I would not
recommend merging the fix.
