@chihsuan thanks for catching the PUT case. It is tracked in [HDDS-17630](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDDS-17630). AWS S3 answers `PUT /bucket/key?partNumber=1&uploadId=` with 400 InvalidArgument ("This operation does not accept partNumber without uploadId") and leaves the object alone. The gateway treats a PUT whose `uploadId` is empty or missing as a PutObject, so the part's body replaces the object. The ticket also covers `partNumber` with no `uploadId` at all, the UploadPartCopy form (which replaces the object with the copy source), and a PUT with an `uploadId` but no `partNumber`, which S3 answers with 405. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
