Hi @adoroszlai I made some enhance meant to the block allocation part. So when it cannot find any available pipeline and creating the new pipeline fails, SCM also looks into the pipelines in ALLOCATED state. If any, wait for one of the ALLOCATED pipeline to be open. I tested it twice, I did see in one test freon needed more than 5 minutes to complete the test after datanode restarting.
