{{GeneratedMessage}} is Protobuf implementation detail and should not be used
by non-generated code. Replace with usage of the {{Message}} interface. This
is in preparation of Protobuf upgrade, since Protobuf 3 generates
{{GeneratedMessageV3}} instead.
