   Hello Apache Paimon Rust team,

I'm interested in becoming a committer for the paimon-rust project. I've
been maintaining my own fork for some time and have many contributions that I
think the community would enjoy. I considered simply releasing my own project,
but it seems wasteful not to contribute here first.

I'm actively contributing to the Apache Iceberg project and am committed to
bringing that same dedication to maintaining and advancing paimon-rust.
However, I've noticed that many good contributions and pull requests seem to
have gone unaddressed, and there are numerous outstanding issues. Before I
invest significant effort, I wanted to confirm:

   1. Is this project still actively maintained?
   2. Are there blockers or strategic decisions preventing progress on open
issues and PRs?
   3. Would I be able to become a committer?

I'm ready to take on the responsibility of reviewing and merging
contributions, addressing outstanding issues, and helping maintain the
codebase. I believe having active maintainers would benefit the community.
Further, if there was concern that this would not be matured, I wanted to
highlight that the fork I referenced is used in production at scale today in
the private sector, and I maintain that codebase as part of my own daily work.

This would be my first time serving as a committer, and I think it would be
a great opportunity and honor to grow both personally and professionally while
helping advance this project and community.

   Thank you!
