### Purpose The Data Evolution documentation describes merging files by `firstRowId` without explaining the full file contract. Rewrite it around the storage model and end-to-end usage: normal file ranges must be identical or disjoint, and each dedicated file must fit entirely within one normal range, rather than merely being covered by the union of adjacent normal ranges. Explain range-aligned partial writes, per-column version selection, BLOB placeholder versus NULL semantics, Spark/Flink/PyPaimon usage, backfills, deletion vectors, compaction, row-ID lifetime, concurrent writes, and metadata compatibility. Add six editable SVG diagrams showing the layout, valid and invalid ranges, writes, reads, BLOB fallback, and maintenance behavior. ### Tests - `cd docs && COREPACK_ENABLE_AUTO_PIN=0 yarn build` — passed; the existing site-wide `/concepts/overview` link warning remains. - Checked all six diagrams in a browser and verified their SVG XML, accessible titles/descriptions, and inclusion in the built page. - Parsed all three Python examples for syntax and ran `git diff --check`. Documentation only; no runtime behavior changes. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
