Hi @zhang-arvin here — I'd like to take this. The `NoSuchTableException` on the schemeless `LOCATION` path looks like the create flow resolving/validating the table through the catalog after the underlying table object was already created (or partially created), leaving the HMS entry behind. Plan: make the external-table create path resolve the `LOCATION` without a catalog lookup that can miss, and clean up on failure so no zombie HMS entry remains. Regression range in the report (1.3.1 ok, 1.4.1/2.0.0 broken) gives a good bisect target. Please assign this to me if that's convenient. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
