### Purpose
Evaluate the file index before loading the deletion vector for single-file
data evolution groups. Reuse the precomputed index result and intersect it
with the DV when candidates remain, avoiding unnecessary DV reads and
duplicate file-index evaluation.
### Tests
Add a regression test verifying that an index-rejected file does not access
its DV sidecar.
