Fixed in d234756442b51f2b327e0a32fe52a1dd08ec3f66. Prepared-file cleanup is
now retained until handoff or close, while commit attempts relinquish writer
cleanup before publication. Added regression coverage for repeated abort,
multiple stream preparations, external files and index sidecars,
close-before-commit, and failures before/after both Python and native REST
publication. The original failing test now passes.
