spancer commented on issue #10333: URL: https://github.com/apache/paimon/issues/10333#issuecomment-5946302734
I have prepared a focused fix for this issue. The change skips the UTF-16 surrogate range when incrementing U+D7FF, producing U+E000 as the smallest valid upper bound. The regression test covers both normal collection and the `convert` path described in the issue. Validation completed successfully: ``` mvn -pl paimon-common -DwildcardSuites=none -Dtest=SimpleColStatsCollectorTest verify ``` Result: 13 tests passed, with Checkstyle and Spotless clean. The branch is available at https://github.com/spancer/paimon/tree/fix/truncate-string-max-surrogate. Please assign this issue to me. I will open the pull request after assignment, following the Paimon contribution guide. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
