### Search before asking - [X] I searched in the [issues](https://github.com/apache/paimon/issues) and found nothing similar. ### Paimon version master (5d019f5a6d) ### Compute Engine Flink ### Minimal reproduce step Run `CALL sys.rewrite_file_index('db.T')` in streaming mode with checkpointing enabled, stop the job with a savepoint after the first checkpoint, and resubmit it from the savepoint. A global failover or a JobManager failover after the first checkpoint has the same effect. ### What doesn't meet your expectations? The restored job never finishes. `RewriteFileIndexSource.CheckpointSerde.serialize` writes the remaining splits into a `ByteArrayOutputStream` but returns `new byte[0]`, so restoring the enumerator reads an empty array and fails, and every restart restores the same state. ### Anything else? _No response_ ### Are you willing to submit a PR? - [X] I'm willing to submit a PR! -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
