Fixed batch stripe contention in 7ca8f1e. Batch acquisition now tries each deduplicated stripe once and skips busy stripes rather than waiting while holding other stripes. Process-local block locks and publication generation/directory guards are unchanged. Cross-process download deduplication is best effort under contention. Added a regression requiring eight disjoint 8 MiB reads (256 KiB blocks) to rendezvous at the source before any completes; all eight must overlap. Three isolated runs passed (0.45/0.53/0.49 s). These are correctness tests, not OSS benchmarks or a comparison with the reviewer latency backend. Validation: 91 cache tests passed; serial I/O suite 285 passed, 3 ignored. Two four-thread I/O runs each had one failure in the HTTP URI reader test; isolated and serial reruns passed, cause not yet diagnosed. Formatting/diff checks pass.
