## What Pass the BTree index length already resolved from its manifest into `InputFile` reader creation. Shared disk caches intentionally do not retain process-local file lengths, so opening a reader otherwise issues a redundant source stat. The internal size hint does not add a cache or configuration option. Unknown manifest lengths still use the existing metadata lookup; cache namespace and invalidation checks are unchanged. ## Validation - Regression covers initial reads, hot reads without a source stat, and FileIO replacement invalidation. - Focused I/O and BTree/scanner tests are being rerun on current main. - Experimental 64-worker OSS JPEG-loading benchmark, shared disk cache, 180s warmup + 180s measurement: OFF/ON/OFF = 205.51 / 227.56 / 199.82 samples/s. One sequence, not a general performance guarantee. No missing images; fixed-query JPEG hashes matched.
