### Purpose `to_iterator()` rejects Variant extraction expressions before backend selection, although Native Arrow reads already support them. Reuse the existing Native row adapter to support these projections, preserving Python and Torch restrictions and existing iterator semantics. ### Tests - 528 focused tests passed, including 72 Variant iterator regressions. - Flake8, license headers and whitespace checks passed. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
