There was a previous attempt to fix avro logical-type support in avro in
[https://issues.apache.org/jira/projects/PARQUET/issues/PARQUET-2292?filter=allissues.]
The proposed solution is not complete and missed the case of nested
logical-types for avro <= 1.8.
Only top level logical-types are currently handled.
