As discussed briefly on the [mailing
list|https://lists.apache.org/thread/prb14l5t90skcw9oy1fnotor1n3x82xj], the
specification is rather loose when discussing the BYTE_ARRAY and
FIXED_LEN_BYTE_ARRAY primitive types, often referring to them instead as
"binary". The proposal here is to always use the primitive type names defined
in the README.
