Though this decoupling effort to move away from Hadoop is still very much so ongoing, the decoupling of the (de)compression logic has proved to be rather difficult. With concerns around backwards compatibility complicating the situation further (and forcing users to maintain a dependency on the Hadoop API dependency, even after all of this is resolved). -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
