While trying to make parquet-rs conform to the spec, we found we had no example data to test with. @etseidl has proposed adding a file with a `map` that has no value in - https://github.com/apache/parquet-testing/pull/63 However, it was hand crafted using parquet-rs. Could someone take a look, and see if this file matches your expectations?
