Vincent Poon commented on PHOENIX-4952:
---------------------------------------

It also outputs the metadata for failed jobs as well. We should still do so,
but denote somehow that the job failed

> IndexScrutinyTool does not output metadata for background jobs

> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PHOENIX-4952
> Project: Phoenix
> Issue Type: Bug
> Affects Versions: 4.14.0
> Reporter: Vincent Poon
> Priority: Major
>
> If we run the scrutiny tool in the background, it exits early and never gets
> to the code that writes to output metadata table. This includes info like
> when then job was run, counts of the invalid rows, etc.
> We might need to do this in the reducer, the way IndexTool reactivates an
> index?
