Vincent Poon commented on PHOENIX-4957:
---------------------------------------
FYI [~gjacoby][~tdsilva] quick review?
The hint in the subquery doesn't actually work, but it compiles fine. So when
the IndexTool grabs the select now, it should read from the data table.
> IndexTool incorrectly uses index when rebuilding an active index

> If you want to leave an index active while rebuilding (e.g. an immutable
> index), the IndexTool selects from the index table instead of the data table.
> This is because it uses PostIndexDDLCompiler which builds an UpsertSelect
> statement with a NO_INDEX hint, but the IndexTool only uses the Select
> portion which has no hint.
