[~jamestaylor] I think the error about "Received fatal alert: protocol_version"
is because of the TLS version
([https://stackoverflow.com/questions/50946420/could-not-transfer-artifact-https-repo-maven-apache-org-maven2-received-fat]).
I was able to compile using Java 1.7 (after removing my .m2 folder) after
adding {{-Dhttps.protocols=TLSv1.2}} to the {{MAVEN_OPTS}} environment variable.
