It's a loop because you could potential trim multiple trailing separators (no
necessarily just one). Separators in the middle (i.e. that are followed by
values for other fields) won't be trimmed, so you can't trim until the end.
What's the type of OBJECT_VERSION? The trim logic should stop if it finds a
fixed width type. If OBJECT_VERSION is variable length, then 0 is not a
valid/allowed value, so the code that generates a random value should be
modified.
