Geoffrey Jacoby commented on PHOENIX-5735:
------------------------------------------
I think it's more complicated than "inline verifiation should not verify rows
beyond max lookback age". If you did that, and had a table with many years
worth of data, and a max lookback age of 7 days, you'd only ever verify a
week's worth of data, which could be a tiny fraction of whole.
What actually needs to be verified are all values that are _visible_ within the
max lookback day period. So, for a table with max lookback age of A:
If the latest version has a timestamp from time 0 to time A: only verify the
latest version of the Cell
If the latest version has a timestamp greater than A: verify all cells whose
timestamp is greater than A
This way you verify all versions that might be visible to any valid
lookback/SCN query.
