I think that this requires a more thorough rewriting.
Start by explaining the 4.x and master branches, and their dependncies.
Use 4.x, 5.x and HBase 1.x, 2.x , etc. so that it stays up-to-date longer
Instead of enumerating the supported versions, refer to BUILDING.md in the
source, so that we won't have to update this too often.
Replace phoenix-core with phoenix-client in the maven example, it extremely
out-of-date, and misleading, also, there is no need to specify the apache
repos, it is also available from maven central.
