Fixing the licenses in these repos is a necessary step.
However, it's also not simple.
We have two sets of licenses/notices, one for the source, which lives in the
root directory,
and one for the binary distribution.
* The LICENSE files in root apply only to to the actual source files in the
repo, so the LICENSE files should contain APL2 only, and nothing else.
* The NOTICE files LGTM
* using the Phoenix binary LICENSE and NOTICE files for connectors would
probably be good, as we're including all/most of Phoenix in the shaded
binaries, and we're explcitly excluding the spark/hive/etc code, to avoid
classpath conflicts.
* the same for Queryserver, as we MAY include phoenix-client in the binary
distro
You can find the requirements for the LICENSE and NOTICE files on the ASF
website.
[~elserj] is our resident licensing expert, hopefully he can check, and if
necessary correct the above.
