Interesting approach, but this is not really what I had in mind. IMO the major.minor.patch version is not granular enough for our purposes. If an upgrade-related bug is found in say, 5.2.0,the user probably does not want to wait for an 5.2.1 to preform the upgrade, but would preferably build a fixed 5.2.0 version, and use that.
