[~palashc] [~tkhurana] given that we will continue having hbase 2.4 and 2.5 
profiles for foreseeable future, we will anyways have to introduce the scan 
metrics in compat modules such that only if 2.6 is used at the server side, we 
incorporate the changes. For 2.4 and 2.5, they remain empty.
